Saskatoon Spinach Salad
Dressing:
1/3 or 125 ml cup sugar
1/2 or 125 ml cup Canola oil
1/4 or 50 ml cup white vinegar
2 Tbsp or 25 ml Flax seeds, crushed
1 1/2 tsp or 7 ml onions, chopped
1 1/2 tsp or 7 ml Worchestershire sauce
1 tsp or 5 ml Poppy seeds
1/2 tsp or 1 ml paprika
Combine ingredients in a thighly covered jar or container and shake well, set aside.
Salad:
1 lb or 500 g Spinach, shredded
2 cups or 500 ml Saskatoon berries, fresh or freshly thawed
1/2 cup or 125 ml slivered almonds, toasted
Combine greens and Saskatoon berries in a large glass bowl. Top with toasted almonds. Add dressing and toss.
Serves 6.
