Saskatoon Berry Salsa

Ingredients:

  • 2 oranges
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 cups Saskatoon Berry Fruit Puree
  • 1 cup Port wine
  • 1 tsp mirroir topping dry mix

    Directions:

    1. Grate the rinds of the 2 oranges and the 2 lemons
    2. Mix 1 cup of Port wine with the grated orange and lemon rind
    3. Reduce for 10 minutes
    4. Squeeze the oranges and lemons - set the juice aside
    5. Strain the 2 cups Saskatoon Berry Puree and mix with reduced Port wine - fruit rind mix
    6. Reduce the mixture for 10 more minutes
    7. Mix juice from the squeezed orange and lemon with 1 tsp mirroir topping dry mix
    8. Add to the Port wine - fruit rind mix
    9. Continue to simmer for 5 more minutes
    10. Cool before serving
