Alberta Farm Fresh Producers Association Member Farms
are your source for local, fresh food and specialty items. Many members also host events and activities on their farms, or participate in
community sponsored events. Below is a handy guide to what's happening, where and when. Members are encouraged to provide a list of events and activities when they renew membership every year. Please be aware that dates may change and we encourage you to call farms for more information. Garden Tour - July 16 from 11 am-4 pm This tour will be a wagon ride to our private vegetable garden. Participants will get the chance to learn how we grow our vegetables. The technology and equipment to grow some of the specialty crops in central Alberta. This tour is free to all our customers who visit us this day.
Father's Day Pancake Feast -June 19 There are two seatings, 11:30 am and 1 pm - be sure to call for a reservaton
Strawberry Festival - July 23 from 11 am-4 pm This day is filled with strawberries! Lots of good strawberry things to sample, strawberry freezer jam demonstration and information about growing strawberries in central Alberta. This festival admission is free for all the customers who come to visit us this day.

Customer Appreciation Day - July 24
Field to Jar Workshops - July 26 or August 2 We start in the field by picking the strawberries, then we head to the kitchen to make jam! Each person takes home a jar of jam. Pea-Picking Extravanganza $2.00/lb - August 5-6 from Noon-6 pm
Summer Country Drive | 2nd Sustainable Living Fair - August 6-7 This fair shows how to work the land biological, build your house sustainable and heat it economical. Demos in worm composting and making compost tea, building with straw bales, GEO thermal heating, as well as local vendors and artists with sustainable products. Country Drive Summertime Showcase - August 6-7
Pickle Making - August 9 or August 16 We start in the field by picking the cucumbers. Then we head to the kitchen to make the pickles. Every one takes home a jar of pickles. Cost is $30 plus GST per person

September Strawberry Festival - September 3 8th Annual Strawberry Fest! Fun for the family with hay rides, pedal go-cart races, pie eating contest, greenhouse tour at 10 am. Our everbearing strawberries are usually in season!
Sauerkraut Festival - September 17 from 11 am-5 pm This day is all about sauerkraut. We will have sauerkraut demonstrations, wagon rides and lots of sauerkraut food plus our usual fall activities which include the corn maze, bale maze, duck races, pumpkin cannon, scarecrow factory, lasso corral, juumping balls, farm animals, ball corral, pumpkin slingshot and more. Admission is $7.50 plus GST per person.

Fall Family Fun - October 1 from 11 am-5 pm We celebrate the harvest this day. We have our usual fall activities plus professional photos, farmers' market, demonstrations, taste tests and pumpkins everywhere. Admission is $7.50 plus GST per person.
Pumpkins & Scarecrow Days - October 1-29
Candle Making - October 8-10 from 11 am-5 pm Along with the usual activities on our fall weekends, people will get to make candles to take home. Admission is $7.50 plus GST per person.
Rope Making - October 15-16 from 11 am-5 pm Along with the usual fun fall family activities, people will get to make their own jump rope out of sisal twine. Admission is $7.50 plus GST per person.
Cookie Decorating - October 15-16 from 11 am-5 pm Along with the usual activities on our fall weekends, people will get to ice and decorate a pumpkin sugar cookie. Admission is $7.50 plus GST per person.
Extreme Pumpkin Carving - October 29-30 from 11 am-5 pm Along with the usual activities on our fall weekends, people get to use power tools to carve their own cool jack-o-lantern. Admission is $7.50 plus GST per person. November 2011
